  • Adult Education Fund: Support “The Well” – our innovative and creative year-round Adult Education offerings.
  • Community Kitchen FundThe Romemu Social Action Committee is thrilled to partner with Mandala Cafe to offer a Community Meal to be prepared in the Romemu Kitchen and distributed out of the Romemu Center on Rosh Chodesh Sundays. Meals will be cooked, prepped and packed "to-go" by volunteers and offered to those in the neighborhood who need them. Daiken Nelson, founder of Mandala Cafe, reminds us, "We are all neighbors."
  • Gala/Benefit Fund: Earmark your donation as part of our annual major fundraising benefit event.
  • General Fund: We encourage you to give to the General Fund! Your donation goes towards Romemu’s annual operating budget allowing us to provide services, events, classes, pastoral care, and everything else we do at Romemu.
  • Hesed Fund: Support Romemu members during times of bereavement, sickness, celebrations, and special needs.
  • High Holy Day Appeal: Support Romemu’s general operating expenses that allow us to offer leading edge Jewish programs and services year-round.
  • Joseph S. Ingber Rabbinic Intern FundIn memory of Joseph S. Ingber, uncle to Romemu’s founder, Rabbi David Ingber, this position is meant to fulfill the promise of a young aspiring rabbi to learn the path to the love of Yiddishkeit, which is what Uncle Joe provided to David as a young man. This position is 10 hours a week and consists of shadowing the senior rabbi, helping to support pastoral care of the community, and redacting and posting Rabbi David’s sermons to share across various online platforms. 
  • Kaplan Music Fund: Contribute toward the unique music that creates the container for deep and soulful reflection that is the authentic ta’am (flavor) of Romemu.
  • Lili Schad Social Action Fund: Help to galvanize our community to walk-our-talk and serve our surrounding community in need on the Upper West Side.
  • The Maggid Yitzhak Buxbaum Legacy Fund: Romemu has set up a legacy fund in the memory of Maggid Yitzhak Buxbaum. This fund will go towards celebrating and honoring his life's work through creating a library of his works.
  • Rabbi's Discretionary Fund: This fund enables our rabbis to choose to support another organization or someone in need. Since there is no fee for the rabbis to perform a wedding or a funeral, it is tradition that when one of our rabbis officiates, a gift is given to their fund.
  • Romemu Brooklyn: Romemu's first official satellite location born in 2017 now offers twice monthly Shabbat services, Kabbalat Shabbat catered dinners, B'Mitzvah services, and a burgeoning community of families and Romemu enthusiasts!
  • Romemu Campus Capital Campaign: Help Romemu renovate and beautify our permanent campus and residence on the Upper West Side through renovating the new Romemu Center building on the southeast corner of 105th & Amsterdam, and renovating the shared sanctuary space at West End Presbyterian Church on the northeast corner of 105th & Amsterdam.
  • Romemu Yeshiva: Romemu Yeshiva (launched in the Summer of 2019) is an egalitarian course of intensive spiritual study and practice of Jewish pathways for self-transformation. Open to people of all backgrounds, Romemu Yeshiva combines rigorous text study, deep prayer, and Jewish mindfulness-based practices to inspire participants’ profound transformation as individuals and as members of the Jewish and human communities. A gift of $15,000 funds one student at Romemu’s Yeshiva.
  • Youth and Family Programs: Support our Youth & Family Programming to ensure Romemu's spirt and message is passed down to future generations. Youth & Family programs include Seekers Holistic Hebrew School, Shabbat programs such as Sha'Baby, Sha'Boker Tov, Parsha Play, and family holiday celebrations. A gift of $2,000 helps fund one K-7 student at Seekers.
  • Security: In the wake of recent horrific incidents of antisemitism, Romemu has doubled our security budget and created a solid security committee and team working to continuously improve our security measures.
