Spiritual Accounting (Heshbon Nefesh):
A Deep Dive into Text with Prompts for Reflection and Creative Writing

with Rabbi Mira Rivera
Thursday nights | 7:00-8:30pm
August 27, September 3, September 10, September 17

Learn about the the 13 Middot (divine attributes) as outlined by the RaMaK, Rabbi Moshe ben Yaakov Cordovero (1522-1570) in his moral and ethical treatise Tomer Devorah (“The Date of Devorah”). Through prompts for reflection and creative writing, we will craft our spiritual accounting for the month of Elul in reference to these 13 divine attributes, or Middot.

As it is said:
האדם ראוי שיתדמה לקונו ואז יהיה בסוד הצורה העליונה צלם ודמות.
"It is proper for human being to imitate/to model oneself after one’s Creator, resembling in both likeness and image according to the secret of the Supernal form.”
